Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026 · Terms of Service
Plain-language summary: we collect the minimum needed to book and monitor your road test, we never sell it, your licence details are encrypted and deleted within 30 days of your service ending, and you can see, correct, or delete everything by asking.

1. What we collect

Account and booking data: your name, email address, mobile number, test type, chosen centres, date window, preferred time of day and test language. Credentials: your driver's licence number and its expiry date. Payment: handled by our payment processor — we never see or store full card numbers. Service records: an activity log of appointments seen, booked, skipped, and changes you make. Technical data: your IP address, the type of device and browser you use, the pages and setup steps you visit, and when. We collect this ourselves, on our own site — it is how we find where our service is confusing, and how we detect fraud and abuse.

2. Why we collect it

Solely to provide the service: booking and rescheduling road test appointments on your DriveTest file, notifying you, providing your dashboard, processing payment and refunds, and meeting legal obligations. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build profiles.

3. Your licence details, specifically

Your licence number and expiry date are used only to view and manage road test bookings on your DriveTest file. They are held on encrypted storage, in a restricted table separated from the rest of your account, every access is logged, and they are deleted within 30 days of your service ending — immediately if you revoke access or ask. They cannot be used to access anything other than DriveTest's booking functions.

4. Who we share with

No one, except: our payment processor (to take payment), our SMS and email providers (to send your alerts), and authorities where the law requires it. We never sell, rent, or trade personal information. Every provider we use is bound by contract to use your data only to provide their service to us.

5. Where it is stored

Data is stored on Canadian-region servers where available. Where a provider processes data outside Canada, it remains protected by contract and by that provider's compliance obligations; a current list of providers and locations is available on request.

6. How long we keep it

Licence credentials: deleted within 30 days of service end, or immediately on request. Account and booking records: kept while your account is active and for up to 2 years after, then deleted or anonymized. Payment records: kept 7 years as required by tax law. Activity logs tied to you: deleted with your account. Technical and security data, including IP addresses: kept for up to 7 years and reviewed at that point, because fraud patterns in this market repeat across years and a short window would make them invisible to us. If you ask us to delete your account, this data is disconnected from your identity rather than kept against your name.

7. Your rights

You may access everything we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, by emailing help@roadtests.ca or using your dashboard. Deleting your licence details mid-service ends monitoring; your DriveTest booking itself always stays yours. We respond within 30 days.

8. Minors

Many customers are 16 or 17. We collect only what the service needs regardless of age, and a parent or guardian may operate the account and exercise any of the rights above on a minor's behalf.

9. Cookies and analytics

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, to remember your progress through setup, and to remember whether you prefer the site in English or French. Our analytics are our own: we record which pages and steps you visit, from what kind of device, and from what IP address, and we tie that to your account once you have one. We do it to see where people get stuck, to keep the service working, and to catch fraud and abuse. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, we do not track you across other websites, and we run no third-party advertising trackers.

10. Changes and contact

Material changes to this policy are notified to your contact address before they take effect. Contact: help@roadtests.ca. The data controller is Skyline Europe Limited, registered in England and Wales under number 14853892, whose registered office is 5 Brayford Square, London, England, E1 0SG, operating RoadTests.ca. Because we are established in the United Kingdom and serve customers in Ontario, we handle your information to meet UK GDPR and PIPEDA together, applying whichever gives you more protection.
